Caterpillar Egg Carton Craft

I don't know about everyone else
but I'm not quite ready for summer to be coming to an end.
I want to enjoy the warm sunshine as much as I can
so Aidyn & I decided to grab supplies for our
caterpillar craft and bring them outside!
Once we were outside, we cut the top off the egg carton,
and then cut the bottom in half length wise for the caterpillar's body.

The top came in handy to squirt all of Aidyn's color choices.

Aidyn had the fun job of painting the entire caterpillar.
He concentrated extra hard and didn't stop until every inch was painted green.

After finishing painting, we let the caterpillar dry in the sun, and
then gathered our supplies for the finishing touches.
Aidyn really wanted a furry caterpillar so we grabbed some pom-pom's to glue to it's body.
Aidyn named him Aidyn Parker Junior.

Save the other half of the egg carton, cut it in half and you can make a butterfly {or two!}

Those are easy to make and so cute, plus I love the open-ended results!

Today it felt like the first little dip in temperatures. Fall is coming!

Cute idea! I don't have paper egg cartons though, we buy the styrofoam ones. :(

Hi there! Just found you through a blog hop and I am now a follower!

This is a terrific craft. In fact, I think I'll go check the recycling box now...I think we used up an egg carton just the other day!

Have a great day!
