X's & O's

Ready for a little game of Tic-Tac-Toe?

I'm unstoppable at the Dollar Store.
It has to be an addiction.
I can never leave that store without something.

I was super excited when I found these while shopping around-- they're little wall shelves.
I hovered around the basket of them wondering what I could convince
Aidyn to collect but then decided that's really not how it works.
Or does it? Ha! :)
It was when I remembered I found bags of these wood letters at the dollar store
a few months ago that I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

To start I unscrewed the little hooks that were attached to the back.
I painted the entire shelf with Apple Barrel's Antique White,
a layer of Crackle Medium, and finally a topcoat of Black.
When it dried, I sanded down the edges with sandpaper to give
it an even more worn in look.
\
I painted the X's & O's {5 of each} in my favorite color combo-- Aqua and Red!
I also used the Crackle Medium on these.

Doesn't it look pretty cute?!
I'm so excited to teach Aidyn how to play!
